Users of PROCOMM PLUS and WordPerfect have long been unable to send faxes
directly from PROCOMM's fax utility through WordPerfect 6.0a due to a DDE
incompatibility.  The link breakdown results in GPFs, Out of Memory Errors,
and other anomalies.  Now there is a patch for WordPerfect which corrects this
problem.

The patch, called POUPDT.EXE, has been tested by DATASTORM and appears to
solve the problem reliably.  It's easy to install and produces immediate
results. However, faxing a WordPerfect 6.0a document from PROCOMM PLUS is
similar to faxing a text file in Notepad -- in the process of bringing up
WordPerfect to print, you'll have to click on OK in the printer control box.
Thus you still may not be able to automate faxing from WordPerfect through the
PROCOMM PLUS fax utility.
