TECHNICAL BULLETIN #70 - Rev 1.00 (5/13/96) ============================================================================== TITLE : Incomplete File Transfers - No Progress Window PRODUCT : PROCOMM PLUS 2.01 (DOS) ============================================================================== Normally, a progress window appears during a file transfer to display the transfer's status. If your downloads do not start and you do not see a progress window, you may have an incorrect download directory setting in PROCOMM PLUS. The following procedure details how to check your download directory setting. DEFAULT PATH FOR DOWNLOADED FILES Since PROCOMM PLUS 2.0x will not confirm nor create a subdirectory when you edit the download directory setting, verify that your PROCOMM PLUS download directory setting is set to an existing path. Follow this procedure: 1. At the Terminal mode screen, press to access the Setup Utility's main menu. 2. Press to select "File/Path Options". 3. Confirm that field C, "Default path for downloaded files", is a valid system path entered in the "Drive:\Subdirectory\" format (e.g., "C:\PCPLUS\"). 4. If the path does not exist, then press to edit the option and type a valid path name or leave the field blank to download to the home directory of PROCOMM PLUS (e.g. "C:\PCPLUS"). Press to accept the setting. 5. Press twice to return to the Setup Utility's main menu. 6. Press to save the contents of the Setup Utility. 7. Press again to return to the Terminal mode screen and retry your file transfer. ========================================================================== To ensure that you have the latest version of this document, compare its revision number to that of the same document on any of our support sites.
