TECHNICAL BULLETIN #64 - Rev 1.00 (5/13/96) ============================================================================== TITLE : Host Mode - Users Can't Log In PRODUCT : PROCOMM PLUS 2.01 (DOS) ============================================================================== This document details how to set up PROCOMM PLUS' Host mode if users can't log in. Note: In this discussion, the unattended computer which is running PROCOMM PLUS' Host mode will be referred to as the "host PC"; the computer which is connecting to the "host PC" will be referred to as the "local PC". SYMPTOM: THE HOST WILL NOT LET ME LOG IN WITH ANY NAME OR PASSWORD. The host PC's Host mode is configured as a closed system. The manager of the host PC should follow this procedure: 1. Press to exit PROCOMM PLUS' Host mode. 2. Press to access the Setup Utility's Main menu. 3. Press to select Host Mode Options. 4. Change option B, System type, to OPEN. 5. Press twice to return to the Setup Utility's Main menu. 6. Press to select Save Setup Options. 7.
