TECHNICAL BULLETIN #37 - Rev 1.00 (8/1/96) ============================================================================== TITLE : Configuring PROCOMM PLUS for Non-Standard Ports PRODUCT : PROCOMM PLUS 2.01 (DOS) ============================================================================== This document explains how to configure PROCOMM PLUS for custom Base Port Addresses (BPA's) and Interrupt Request Lines (IRQ's). PROCOMM PLUS is capable of talking to COM ports 1-8 using IRQ's 2-7. Follow these steps to manually configure PROCOMM PLUS for specialized BPA's and IRQ's. 1. At the DOS prompt change to the PROCOMM PLUS home directory (\PCPLUS by default). 2. Type "PCSETUP" and press to start the Setup Utility. Use the arrow keys to highlight MODEM OPTIONS and press . 3. Highlight PORT ASSIGNMENTS and press . 4. Press the appropriate letter to access the COM port you need to change. This will place your cursor in the Base Port Address field. (Right behind the "x") 5. Enter the appropriate BPA and press . Enter the appropriate IRQ and press . 7. Press three time to exit the Setup Utility. 8. PROCOMM PLUS will open a message window and prompt "Make changes permanent? Y/N".
