TITLE   : Patching your Network Version 2.0 Program Files
PRODUCT : PROCOMM PLUS Network 2.0

This document explains how to obtain the patch files and apply them to PROCOMM
PLUS Network Version 2.0.

1. Call the Quarterdeck BBS and download PATNV2.EXE.

2. Exit PROCOMM PLUS and change the current DOS directory to the directory
   which contains PATNV2.EXE.

3. Copy PATNV2.EXE to the home directory of PROCOMM PLUS on the file server.

4. Type "PATNV2" and press <Enter> to extract the file into the separate
   .DTP patch files.

5. View a patch description by using the DOS "TYPE" command or your favorite
   file viewer.  For example, enter "TYPE AUTOANS.DTP" and press <Enter> to
   see the information shown in the window to the right.

6. Type "DT_PATCH" followed by the name of the patch you want to apply and
   press <Enter>.  For example, type "DT_PATCH AUTOANS.DTP" and press <Enter>
   to apply the AUTOANS.DTP patch.

#   This patch fixes a problem with the modem initialization scripts which
#   are generated by PCINSTAL.EXE.  Modem scripts created had Auto-Answer
#   strings incorrectly reversed.
#
#   The correct values should be:
#             set modem autoansoff "~~~+++~~~ATS0=0^M"
#             set modem autoanson "~~~+++~~~ATS0=1^M"
#
#   You may wish to examine any scripts you may have already generated to
#   verify the proper values for these commands.  Once this patch has been
#   applied, you can re-execute PCINSTAL to generate new modem initialization
#   scripts, or you can simply edit in your old scripts and manually change
#   these commands.
