PROCOMM PLUS Network Version works in conjunction with third-party network
asynchronous communications servers (ACS) to allow workstations on the
network to access services on the ACS.  Eliminating the need for individual
workstation modems and allowing users to "share" modems on the ACS.

PROCOMM PLUS Network Version is actually several different programs each
designed to work with one particular API (Applications Program Interface).
In this context, an API is the set of functions or the protocol a network
program uses to communicate with another network program.  For example, to
work with XYZ Network (which represents one particular ACS), PROCOMM PLUS
Network Version must use a particular set of predefined function calls that
XYZ Network is able to recognize and respond to.

The supported APIs are:
        NCSI/NASI       EBIOS/INT 14
        BAPI            ACSI
        NETCI


FILE TRANSFER PROTOCOLS

PROCOMM PLUS Network Version delivers fast, efficient file transfers with
100% data integrity, and supports one of the largest varieties of error-
correcting protocols of any communications software package.

PROCOMM PLUS Network Version supports both 80 and 132 column modes and gives
you the capability to create multiple keyboard maps for each of the terminal
emulations.


PROGRAM FEATURES

the ASPECT script language, a Filename Clipboard, Record Mode, Meta Keys,
On-line Help, Host Mode, Chat Mode, On-line Re-Display Buffer, Session
Logging, Customizable Display Features, Programming Hooks and Mouse Support.


HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS

* Local Area Network with PC or PC compatible file server and workstations
  (file server and workstations may be any combination of PCs, XTs, ATs, or
  PS/2 machines; workstations must be DOS based).

* An Asynchronous Communications Server (hardware and/or software) that
  supports one of the APIs listed.

* 192K free RAM in any workstation that will be using PROCOMM PLUS Network
  Version.
